The next home is owned by Bob and Julia Molettiere. They have 2 daughters: 4-year-old Anna Claire is in Pre-K at Oxycocus and 7-year-old Ila Jane is in first grade at Ocean Acres. Bob and Julia purchased this lakeside gem in 2014, and renovations haven’t stopped since. When they moved in, the house was very outdated – complete with shag carpets, a tiny kitchen, and a pink bathroom. But the generous backyard and its 125 feet of Manahawkin Lake waterfront helped them envision its potential. And potential indeed! Bob, who is a self-employed contractor and the man behind Molettiere Carpentry, LLC, got right to work. Layers and layers (and layers!) of carpets, parquet tiling, and more were stripped down and replaced. They even bid farewell to the tacky pink bathroom, much to the dismay of the girls. The updated and open living space now boasts a chef’s kitchen and lots of room for cartwheeling, crafting, and Christmasing of course! The outdoor space was spiffed up as well, and even hosted a rustic clambake-style wedding this August, complete with high-top tents, live music, and a bonfire. The Chef’s Tour is hoping to take advantage of the backyard’s park-like setting if weather permits, so you may get to actually roast your chestnuts over an open fire! Our Restaurants featured here is None-Other then your favorite family owned and operated spots… Moesters and How You Brewin-Moesters, opened in 2005 at the Lakeside Village by the married team of Maureen Weidman Snyder and George Snyder, these two have been firing our insanely good cookies, cupcakes, pastries and custom cakes for every and any occasion from birthdays to weddings! They’ll be offering a build your own Smores Bar over the FirePit as well as many other Sweet Treats! My husband Michael Horner is originally from Barnegat. He’s been here all his life. I myself moved to Barnegat with my family from Colts Neck. My father was in the Navy so once he retired he wanted to find a great town to settled down in. So we moved to Barnegat in 1997. My husband and I met in 8th grade in Barnegat at the Brackman middle school. We became the best of friends and started dating when we were 16. We were high school sweethearts. We are graduates of Southern Regional High school. We moved to Stafford because we knew this is where we wanted to plant our roots. We knew when we started our family, these were the schools we wanted our children to attend. We rented in Ocean Acres for 10 yrs and finally purchased our first home in Ocean Acres in September 2013 We love our community. 18yrs later, we are happily married with 2 beautiful children 3 crazy dogs and 2 chickens. Yes 2 chickens . Our oldest is our son Gabriel who is the sweetest 10 yrs old in 4th grade. He plays every season for the Stafford soccer league, is a member of the Stafford MMA and always participates in the enrichment programs our amazing district provides. Our youngest is our daughter Navarah 3yrs old, 4 in January, who is in preschool at Oxycocus. She tells us when she grows up she wants t be an “Emergency Medical Technician”. Yes she is only 3. This will be her first year joining Stafford soccer which she is extremely excited about. Following in her big Brothers foot steps. My husband was in construction for many years but eventually fulfilled his dream joining the law enforcement community. For 10 yrs he has been a NJ correctional officer now working in Rahway, NJ. Law enforcement and military run in our family so we are extremely proud of him. As for me I am a full time soccer mom and I also attend some classes at OCC when I can for special education. I am the classic crafty mom and I love it. I am very involved in my children’s school life. From class parties, PTO events to volunteering and I enjoy every minute. Our kids are only children for such a short amount of time. I’m blessed enough to be able to be there for those moments. Our families favorite time of year is Christmas as you can see by our homes decorations. From our massive “Griswold tree” as everyone calls it, to our snow covering all the corners of our home, we love the feel of the holidays in every turn of our home. We hope you enjoy it. – Horner Family
